The Italian Riviera. Shhhhh, don't tell!

Lisa Jane and Matteo love this part of Italy. They said we would too. And when they tell us something we've learned to always listen. So when they told us we had to visit the Italian Riviera otherwise known as the Ligurian Coast we did. But we're sharing it with this caveat. We're not going to tell you exactly where we went or tell you exactly where to go. Suffice it to say that there are dozens of little towns on the Ligurian Coast. They'll all beautiful and mostly undiscovered by American tourists. It's half the price of the French Riviera but just as beautiful. There are well-known towns on the Ligurian Coast such as Portofino and Cinque Terre which HAVE been discovered and are becoming increasingly overrun by tourists from all over the world. I'm not talking about those. Look at a map and pick virtually any town other than the big name ones and go for a visit. You'll have great food, friendly people, nice white wines, beautiful views of the sea and you'll want to tell everyone. But please only tell your best friends. And tell them only if you think they'll really appreciate it. So what follows are a series of photographs with no specific locations, but which should speak for themselves.
