Our Ape Calessino

Updated: Dec 6, 2018

If you been to an Italian hill town then you've seen Piaggios. After WWII Piaggio invented this small engine, three wheel vehicle as an inexpensive vehicle for use by merchants and farmers. Now they have an upgraded version that used by resorts and hotels for transporting guests, much like we would use a golf cart in the USA, but clearly with a lot more style. Unfortunately, Italian insurance laws doesn't make it practical for our guests to use our beautiful little Ape (that's Italian for "bee"). But we use it to go to and from the grocery store and I'm sure that our groundskeeper Matteo would give you a ride if you asked nicely!
